Although Bert Cross II has been in the music ministry all of his life, the calling and the official work of the ministry began in 1984. Adopting the motto, “ Leading people in becoming true worshippers and performing to the glory and honor of God,” gave direction and purpose to the ministry.  In I985 Bert Cross II released his first solo album entitled, “To Be Used” as a music ministry product.  The album project would include background singers who would go on to be a part of the Bert Cross Ministry Choir.  In 1985 The Bert Cross Ministry Choir would go on to record a project entitled, “Singing Praises to God.”  The Bert Cross Ministry Choir would be in two major concerts at the prestigious Lowe’s Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas with Thomas Whitfield and Samuel Murrell. 1986 would be the year BCMC would be asked to sing with the group “Talking Heads” for a Warner Brothers movie production. This would the BCMC first gold record with the Talking Heads project.  In 1997, the BCMC would be found on the Happy Birthday to Jesus project and in 1998 and 1999 on the Olivia Cooper CD projects from New Orleans.   In 2010 BCMC would provide the background voices for the Tabitha T’Amor Myles CD project
